Eva Končoková

Eva Končoková, Ph.D., is Executive Director of Nadácia Škola Dokorán (Wide Open School Foundation), a not-for-profit organization working in Slovakia on child/learner-centered education and lifelong learning. She has implemented demand-driven high quality programs, which sensitively respond to individual needs of children with the aim of contributing to their formal, informal, community, and home-based education in Slovakia. During her career, she has contributed to the development of effective systems for further education of pedagogical staff and parents, including systems executed through distance learning with the use of progressive technologies and resources, such as e-learning. Her ambition is to create a forum for educators from culturally, socially different ECEC settings to express their experiences, dreams and aspirations, and perspectives on early childhood care and education, using personal experiences gained during her work as a team leader, coordinator, and trainer in Slovakia and other countries. She will contribute as a moderator of the course, using the latest interactive technologies involving parents, teachers, volunteers, stakeholders at the community and national levels, respecting the local environment and individual value system.
