ISSA Announces New Board Members
ISSA is pleased to announce the recent
election of three new members to the Board of Directors. Nives Milinovic (Open Academy “Step by Step”,
Croatia), Ashkhen Gyurjyan (Step by Step Benevolent Foundation, Armenia), and
Jan Peeters (Resource and Training Centre for Child Care - VBJK, Belgium) will
each begin their three year terms in January 2011. They were elected by ISSA’s members at ISSA’s
annual Council Meeting this October in Turkey. Ms. Gyurjyan was also chosen as the President
Elect. She will serve as President-Elect
through 2011, and will begin her term as President in 2012.
ISSA would also like to take this
opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to those board members whose terms
will be ending this December. Emil Buzov
(Step by Step Program Foundation, Bulgaria), Lucy Marcus (Marcus Venture
Consulting, UK),
and Phyllis Magrab (Georgetown University Center
for Child and Human Development, USA) have made
important contributions to ISSA’s governance over the past three years. ISSA looks forward to exploring continued
opportunities for partnership and cooperation with each of these Board Members
in new capacities in the coming years.
