Ending Minority Exclusion: Education for Social Justice in Central Asia, funded by the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR)
June 2007
In April, ISSA members in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan conducted workshops on the ESJ classroom module. Teams led by Zorica Trikic and Peter Repisky led workshops in ethnically diverse schools and kindergartens in the region. Local trainers who participated in a Training of Trainers last autumn were able to conduct workshops with mentoring support from Peter and Zorica. Follow-up training to help teachers support minority language children is planned for the same schools and kindergartens later in the year.
