ISSA’s EU-TACIS/IBPP Project Ends

The project Joining Efforts to Create Models of Inclusive Kindergartens in Russia, funded under the EU’s TACIS program was implemented in partnership with ISSA Council members Russian Foundation for Education Development “Soobschestvo” (RFED, Russia) and Center for Innovative Education (CIE, Lithuania) and was successfully completed in June. The project aims were to improve educational results for 48 children with disabilities in the Moscow and Veliky Novgorod regions of Russia by providing equality of opportunity and full participation leading toward a future of independent living and economic self-sufficiency as well as raising awareness about inclusive education and the capacity of the Russian NGO to promote it. One result of the project is the publication of a practical book for parents of children with disabilities.
