Save the Date: The 2008 ISSA Annual Conference, Active Citizenship: Democratic Practices in Education, will take place between 8-11 October 2008 in Budapest, Hungary. This interdisciplinary conference welcomes professionals involved in early childhood development and education and in related fields—from the classroom to the policy level—from Eastern and Western Europe and from around the globe. The conference, organized in partnership with the World Forum Foundation, will explore how the promotion of democracy, both in practice and through advocacy, can affect the quality of children’s lives everywhere.
