The Handbook of ECD Experiences, Innovations, and Lessons from CEE/CIS, distributed to participants of the ECD Policy Roundtable hosted by the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation and ISSA on 14 October 2009: Investing in Early Childhood: The Most Effective Use of a Nation’s Resources, showcases successful early childhood development (ECD) investments and public/private partnerships of the countries represented at the roundtable.  The objectives of the Compendium are to share national achievements and to inspire all countries in the region to consider new ways of improving and expanding integrated ECD services.
