Every Child's Right to Education: Inclusion of Children with Special Needs in Belarus

ISSA, the Belarusian Parent's and Teacher's League “Step by Step” and the Ukrainian Step by Step Foundation have partnered to implement this EU-EIDHR project, which seeks to foster a culture of human rights by supporting children with disabilities and their parents in advocating for their right to equal access to education in a mainstream environment.

The BPTL continues to build positive relationships with parents and schools. In October, Ukrainian mentors will visit Belarus to meet with faculty members of the Minsk State Pedagogical University to share ideas and concepts for successful inclusion. The mentors will also spend time with BPTL staff to discuss inclusion and teaching quality. In November the BPTL team will work together with USSF trainers to provide the second Inclusion Training called for in the project.
