Dawn Tankersley, Ed.D. Consultant worked in the Step by Step Program from 1997 as a trainer, country mentor, advisor, and author of trainings and program support materials in early childhood education, education for social justice, bilingual education, mentoring, and on the ISSA Pedagogical Standards. From 1999 through 2006, she worked as the Pedagogical Coordinator and as a member of the Coordinating Team for the Open Society Institute’s Roma Special Schools Initiative and Roma Education Initiative implemented by the ISSA NGOs in Central and Southeastern Europe. Since May 2006 she has worked as the manager of the Quality Early Education Program for ISSA, and is currently working in their Program Division as a program consultant. She has master’s degrees in International Management and in Education, and also holds an Ed. D. in International and Multicultural Education.
