Regional conference within the framework of the Central Asian and Mongolian Initiative of members of the International “Step by Step” Association (CAMI - ISSA).

Time: February 8, 15:00 Bishkek time (GMT+6) | 10 a.m. CET

This conference is inspired by the Bernard van Leer Foundation (BvLF) flagship publication “Early Childhood Matters” 2021 issue. In 2022, ISSA and BvLF supported translation of the 2021 issue, which is dedicated to climate change.

The main goal of this conference is to promote informed dialogue about the critical issue of air pollution and its serious impact on children, build collective action, and contribute to the global movement to create a sustainable and clean environment for future generations of children, their families, and communities. Bringing together a diverse group of experts, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders, we aim to understand the complex relationship between air pollution and childhood climate, examining the short- and long-term effects on children's physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. We hope to identify innovative strategies, policy frameworks, and community initiatives that can successfully mitigate the harmful effects of air pollution on children.
