The Education for Climate Day 2024, the flagship event of the Education for Climate Coalition, titled ​“Climate Resilience - Preparing for the Future” will take place on  28 November from 9:30 to 18:00 CET online.

During the opening session, the European Commission’s Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, will officially launch the 2024 Education and Training Monitor, followed by a panel discussion focusing on learning for sustainability, between 9:30 – 10:20 CET (50 minutes session).

Other thematic sessions in participatory format cover a broad range of climate education issues, including a community networking café. The highlights of the event are: 

• Launch of the Education and Training Monitor 2024: interactive report launch and presentation. 
• Post-COP29 session: bringing together high-level international policy and research voices with the community for stock taking. 
• Award sessions for the community call for innovative green education actions, valorising good climate education initiatives across the EU.

The event is open to learners of all ages and learning levels, educators, trainers, education stakeholders, institutions, industry professionals, NGOs, and anyone passionate about the green transition and sustainable development.
