Teachers as peace builders - The role of teachers in building a culture of peace 

School often proves a source of anxiety — perpetuating patriarchal, militant and violent values, where the child is no longer at the center but is subject to bureaucratic, technocratic and stereotyped approaches. Teachers are the most valuable members of all educational systems and are crucial in creating a culture of peace.

This conference aims to bring together education lovers to create new ideas in order to build good education and protect the joy of childhood for every child by instilling tthe values of peace and epathy in generations of children through their education, and to curb the alarming increase of violence and bullying in schools.

The Center for Educational Initiatives Step by Step wishes to encourage teachers from Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Slovakia to participate in the conference. The organization will be able to cover the cost of accommodation and food for around 20 teachers from these countries who are involved in work with children from Ukraine. Travel costs and conference fees would need to be covered by participants.
