What will you learn:

This one-day workshop is offered by Leiden University, Institute of Education and Child Studies. During the workshop you will learn more about the evidence-based, preventive intervention program called VIPP-SD. It was developed by the Centre for Child and Family Studies at Leiden University. They offer a unique sneak preview of their training course for professionals, including a presentation on the theoretical background and main principles of the VIPP-SD. The Centre will introduce you to the main elements of the VIPP-SD method and increase your knowledge and understanding of its practical use and effectiveness.

The participants of the workshop will:

  • Receive theoretical background and outline of the VIPP-SD.
  • Observe parent-child interaction.
  • Identify profile points (parental sensitivity). 
  • Use the technique “speaking for the child”.

Who should attend:

This workshop particularly welcomes professionals working with caregivers of young children, such as pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, social workers, socio-therapists, pedagogical staff, employees of infant welfare centers, child psychiatrists, behavioral scientists and trainees in similar or related fields.
