Ukraine is in the process of reforms, including education reform. One of the steps in this process is the development of new educational standards for primary schools. Ukrainian Step by Step Foundation organized 'training-for-trainers' days on July 4 - 8th. Representatives from 25 regional In-service Teacher Training Institutes were taught the Step by Step approach, including thematic planning. The Minister of Education Liliya Hrynevitch visited and participated in the planning session. Now  52 trainers (2 representatives per institute) will go to their regions to train 200 primary teachers, 100 deputy school directors and other educators and local educational authorities.
