A common quality framework for non-formal ECEC initiatives
Non-formal early childhood education and care (ECEC) spaces such as community playgroups, family centres, and play hubs offer rich play and learning experiences for young children, their families and community members. This is especially evident when non-formal ECEC complements informal and formal ECEC.
While there are several quality frameworks for formal ECEC provisions, at the national and European level (EU Quality Framework for ECEC, ISSA quality principles 0-3 and 3 to 10), there isn’t yet a common quality framework for non-formal initiatives.

Training | Applying a trauma - informed co-production of programs: Centring the lived experience
Co-production refers to collaborating with the communities we are working with to design services together. It sets the foundation of acknowledging people as experts-by-experience, not just as recipients of care. Co-production promotes deeper collective healing based on people’s needs and interests, through which you can empower people to strengthen their sense of power, dignity, and belonging.

Virtual roundtable | Primary health care (PHC) as a platform to advance health and disease program objectives
Thanks to the universal nature of PHC and its contact with almost every child, professionals significantly shape and support the building of nurturing environments by guiding parents and focusing on holistic child development and the social determinants of health that influence it in order to decrease disparities. Thus, PHC can be a strong equaliser of health and social outcomes.
