This guidebook was developed as part of the "Transition Is Our Mission" (TIM) project, aimed at ensuring a smooth transition for children from preschool to primary school. The document provides research-based insights and practical tools for educators and other stakeholders involved in this transition, focusing on developmental, pedagogical, and professional continuity. It includes guidelines and examples of good practices from Croatia, Latvia, and Slovenia, addressing challenges such as ensuring consistency in teaching approaches and providing support to families.

Early Childhood Development toolbox for local governments to support young children and their families - The healthy and rounded development of children in their early years lays the critical foundations for their well-being and success later in life. It requires concerted and competent support in all the environments in which they grow and develop – the home, the community, and as the focus of early childhood services.

This program for cooperation with Roma parents was collectively designed and implemented by eight educational institutions from Serbia. After analyzing the implementation and feedback from the parents and other involved actors and with the support of Indigo and mentors, they chose the examples of good practice of cooperation with Roma parents. The publication consists of the introduction, information on all institutions, 29 examples of good practice and an afterword.

The MANDELA model for Early Childhood Education and Care is a framework to place inclusivity at the heart of practice with babies, children, and families. It recognises the importance of relationships and belonging and ensuring environments reflect this. It also acknowledges that if we change the start of the journey, we can change educational outcomes for children that can impact across their life course.

The available data shows that refugee children and children with a migrant background, in Europe, are at greater risk of poverty and social exclusion. Governments have an essential role in fostering a welcoming environment for young refugees and migrants by offering inclusive early childhood development services.

In emergencies, the amount of investment in ECD is scarce and very fragmented. More than half of humanitarian and refugee response plans focus on immediate needs while neglecting the overall development, learning and well-being of the youngest children and their caregivers. Due to its complexity, ECD can be best guaranteed within a multisectoral and integrated approach, mobilizing various resources in a well-coordinated manner.

Mobile Play Hubs are a more flexible and immediate response to offer high-quality nonformal educational support to children and families. The below resources are intended for organisations wishing to set up and run Mobile Play Hubs for children aged 0 to 10 years old. It is also useful to regular Play Hubs and other non-formal ECEC settings that want to make (outdoor) play more accessible to children of all ages.

This case study is based on the Early Childhood Development Complexes of For Our Children Foundation (FoC), Bulgaria, that provided several different socially integrated services concentrated within reach, which together form a safety net for children and families. FoC in Bulgaria created the Early Childhood Development Complexes in Sofia and Plovdiv to pay attention to the first, most important years of every child's life and to support them when it is not too late.&nbsp
